JSEELG focuses on advancing research and practice in science education and environmental literacy. The journal encourages interdisciplinary and innovative studies that integrate science teaching with environmental awareness and global citizenship values.

- Science Education: Innovative pedagogical approaches, curriculum development, science education policy, teacher professional development, digital media and technology integration, and assessment in science learning across all educational levels (primary to higher education).
- Environmental Literacy: Strategies and models to foster environmental awareness, sustainability education, leadership in environmental education, and behavioral change toward environmental responsibility.
- Interdisciplinary Studies: Research that connects science education with sustainability, global citizenship, indigenous knowledge systems, and local wisdom in ecological learning.
