Dinamika Kehidupan Sosial Dan Pelestarian Budaya Di Tengah Modernisasi

Abstract

Modernization has brought significant changes to various aspects of people's lives, including in the social and cultural fields. The development of science, technology, and the flow of globalization has influenced the patterns of social interaction, lifestyle, and value systems that develop in society. On the one hand, modernization has a positive impact in the form of progress and improvement of the quality of life of the community, but on the other hand, it also poses challenges to the existence of local culture which is beginning to undergo a shift. This research aims to analyze the dynamics of the social life of the community and examine cultural preservation efforts in the midst of the modernization process. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach through library research. Data is obtained from various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant documents. The results of the study show that modernization has changed the pattern of social relations of the community from a traditional one to a more rational and individualistic pattern. In addition, technological developments and globalization also affect the sustainability of local culture. Therefore, various efforts are needed to preserve culture through education, strengthening local wisdom values, and active participation of the community and the government so that the nation's cultural identity is maintained in the midst of ongoing social changes.
